Nusrat Jahan Nipa stands as a symbol of resilience, vision, and innovation in the global fashion research and development arena. As the CEO of Heritage Research and Professional Institute, she leads with an unwavering dedication to preserving cultural heritage, empowering artisan communities, and promoting sustainable and ethical fashion practices.

Born and raised in a conservative family in Khulna, Bangladesh, Nusrat defied societal norms to pursue her lifelong passion for fashion. From an early age, she was mesmerized by the textures, colors, and designs of fabric. Despite initial resistance, her determination enabled her to forge a distinctive path in fashion, academia and research.

Academic Qualification:

Ph.D. research: With the China and Malaysia Education Research Team, focusing on Socioeconomic development for Asian Handloom weavers. She is actively contributing to research-based education modules tailored to the Asian perspective.

Master’s Degree: Fashion Theory & Practice (Research-Based), Zhejiang Sei-Tech University, China | Graduated in 2022

Bachelor’s Degree: Fashion Merchandising, Uttara University, Bangladesh | Graduated in 2019
